The Annapurna Circuit Trek Thorong La Pass 5416m

Walking completely to the highest altitude trekking routes of the Annapurna region in 16 days the Annapurna circuit trek completes. This trekking route is moderate trekking trail slice adventure passed. We need to accumulate our self to make suitable to do trekking in this region. In our trek we can see glorious views Himalayas which includes Mt. Manaslu (8163m),), Annapurna I (8091m), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m, Mt. Nilgiri (7041m), Mt. Machhapuchhre (6998m) Himalchuli (6441m) and many other eye-catching mountains.

We cross the Thorong La pass situated at the high point and located at the altitude of 5416m above sea level. We will follow the trial of stream Marsyangdi River which leads us up to Manang valley. Annapurna circuit trekking is highly praised trekking route in Nepal Annapurna region trekking since 1977 AD when Annapurna Conservation Area was established for tourist because of the presence of golden dawn light panorama mountains. An unbelievable mountain landscape and crops grown in Annapurna region will also amaze us.

Our Annapurna Circuit Trek starts with a drive to Besisahar from Kathmandu valley. Our drive goes for about 5 to 6 hours. After we will follow the trial of Marsyangdi River. The trial goes Besisahar, Syange, Chamje, Dharapani, Chame, Pisang, Manang and through the beautiful trekking route. Our trekking route will end to Jomsom. This trekking route is tea-house staying moderate and it is called classic trekking route as well. During our trek, we can clearly know about the lifestyle, culture, and tradition of Gurung, Thakalis, Tibetan and Magar community people. Nepal Base Camp Treks (Pvt. Trip Introduction 

The popular Annapurna Circuit trek, without any doubt we can take you there. The crown for being the number one walking trail in the world. The trekking route was first opened for foreign trekkers in 1977. It offers an impressive icy-capped view of the Annapurna Himalayas ranges with a huge Tilicho Peak, an astonishing view of the pastoral life and terraced rice fields carved out green sceneries. This horseshoe-shaped trekking route circles the entire Annapurna mountain range. It covers roughly 298 km of walking through various terrain valley. This trek follows an ancient of the beaten path used as the trade route between Nepal and highlander Tibet Autonomous region in ancient times, mainly for trading "Salt."

 

This route is dominated by high hills and mountainous landscape starting from Bensishahar town but nowadays possible to drive Jagat from Kathmandu by private jeep or sharing-jeep. Most of the parts are still inaccessible and can have a pleasant time by exploring the natural wonders, observing tribal and cultural lifestyles and sightings of flora and fauna of Great Himalaya trails.

 

The walking journey starts from Jagat (1,300 m/4,264 ft) and passes through different villages. These villages have a variety of cultures of the ethnic background. The highest altitude in this trek is the Thorong La Pass which sits at 5,416 m/17,768 ft. The highlights of this trek include the high trail from Upper Pisang via Ghyaru, Ngawal to Braga (its ancient Gumba) with magnificent views of Annapurna Massive II and IV. Manang village (3540 m) is a caters well for trekkers while offering magnificent views of Gangapurna 7455m and Annapurna III. The highest pass over the Thorung La (5416 m) summit offers an exceptional view in all directions. Old Kagbeni is an ancient village located in the valley of the Kali Gandaki Riverbank and is the gateway to a restricted area of Upper Mustang. The Kaag Khola (Kali Gandaki in Nepal)  is the world's deepest gorge between two giant mountains Dhaulagiri 8,167m and Annapurna 8,091m.

 

Hiker passing this trail in the Annapurna region will have an impressive observation of Manang region, Jomsom and Muktinath and also the diversity of landscape and culture and will go home with a memory of a lifetime.

 

Spring Season (March-May) and Autumn Season (September – November) are the most popular months for this trek. Around the Annapurna circuit, trek cost includes transport to and from Kathmandu, best accommodation whilst on the trek, full board meals, safe drinking water and hot showers. Your adventure guide will brief you each evening about the following day’s walk and variations to the itinerary will be made to suit the needs of your group.

 

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Anytime arrives at Kathmandu airport (1 300 m/4,264 ft): Nepal Base Camp Team, welcome you and transfer to selected boutique hotel for overnight.

Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing tour or trek preparation

Day 03: Kathmandu to Jagat (1 300 m/4,264 ft): 8-10 hrs drive

Day 04: Jagat to Dharapani (1 960 m/6 430 ft): 5-6 hrs

Day 05: Dharapani to Chame (2 710 m/8 891 ft): 5-6 hrs

Day 06: Chame to Pisang (3 300 m/10 824 ft): 5-6 hrs

Day 07: Pisang to Ngawal (3 660 m/12 008 ft): 4-5 hrs

Day 08: Ngawal to Manang (3 540 m/11 615 ft): 3-4 hrs.

Day 09: Manang:  Acclimatization and exploration day

Day 10: Manang  to Leddar (4,210 m/13,808 ft): 4-5 hrs

Day 11: Leddar to Thorung Phedi (4,450 m/14,592 ft): 3 hrs

Day 12: Thorung Phedi - Muktinath (3,800 m/12,467 ft): 8-10 hrs

Day 13: Muktinath  to Jomsom (2600 m/8,528 ft): 4-5 hrs trek or 1-hour drive

Day 14: Jomsom to Pokhara (800 m/2,624 ft): 20minutes fly and rest on the lakeside

Day 15: Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,300 m /4,264 ft): 6-7 hrs drive

Day 16: Final departure from Kathmandu, Nepal

Transfer to International Airport for your onward flight to your next destination.

 

Itinerarys

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival and Check-in to the Hotel

The representatives from Nepal Base Camp Treks (Pvt. Ltd.) will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport upon your arrival. We then transfer you to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Jagat (1300m) 8-10 Hours
After talking the morning breakfast, we take a drive to Jagat via Besishahar from Kathmandu. It's a distance of 240 kilometers and takes about 8-10 hours to reach there. Besishahar offers you the beautiful views of snow-capped mountains around. We stay overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 03: Trek from Chamje to Bagarchhap (2160m) – 5 Hours
Today, our day begins with a rocky trail following the Marsyangdi River steadily uphill to Tal. Tal is the first village in the Manang District. Crossing the wide and flat valley, our trail continues up and down to Dharapani (1890m). Upon reaching Bagarchhap, you can witness the typical flat roofed stone houses of local Tibetans. The village is surrounded by apple Orchads and maize fields. We stay overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 04: Trek from Bagarchhap to Chame (2630m) – 5 Hours
Our trail climbs to Tyanja today continuing through the forest. As we reach Chame, theheadquarter of Manang District, you will be rewarded by the fine views of Annapurna II. We also witness two small hot springs by the town. Besides, we are also introduced with the local community of which the residents are said to have migrated from Tibet centuries ago. We stay overnight at a guesthouse at Chame.

Day 05: Trek from Chame to Pisang (3300m) – 5 Hours
Our day starts through a deep forest in a steep and narrow valley crossing a river on a long bridge. After crossing another bridge, we can witness some of the beautiful rock faces of soaring Paungda Danda. And from there, we join the trail to climb to Pisang. We stay overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 06: Trek from Pisang to Manang (3540m) 5 Hours
We continue through the upper part of the Manang District today. People of this region herd yaks and raise crops for a part of the year. From Pisang, there are two alternative trails from north and south of Marsyangdi River which meets up again at Mungji.From Mungji, our trail continues past the picturesque but partially hidden valley of Bryanga just nearby Manang. We stay overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 07: Acclimatization at Manang
We spend a day acclimatizing at Manang. We spend the whole day doing some fine day walks and enjoying the magnificent sights around the village. We can explore the absolutely gorgeous Manang Valley and the lifestyle of the people there. We stay overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 08: Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka (4000m) – 5 Hours
Following the trail, we continue our journey from Manang today. Our trail ascends nearly 500m to Yak Kharka. Climbing steadily through Tenki Manang, we leave the Marsyangdi Valley and continue along the Jarsang Khola valley. We eventually reach Yak Kharka at 4000m where you can see the herds of yaks and vegetation thinning out. We stay overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 09: Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4450m) – Hours
From Yak Kharka, we continue our ascent for about two hours and then descend down to cross the river. We then climb up to Thorong Phedi where you can see some decent guesthouses. We stay overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 10: Trek from Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (3800m) via Thorong La Pass (5416m) – 8 Hours
Our journey today is going to be quite longer today. So we start early in the morning before sunrise to reach the Pass by 9am. We have to consider about the weather conditions that might greatly affect our journey particularly at the Thorung La pass which is at the altitude of 5416m. We have to climb steeply on a regular route which is quite easy to follow. We need to take maximum care as it often causes terrible problems to cross the pass if it is covered by heavy snow. It takes around four hours to climb up to the pass. After walking for around four more hours from Thorong La Pass, we reach the holy temple of Muktinath, which is considered one of the holiest pilgrimagesin Nepal. Muktinath Area is home to several monasteries along with the temple of Muktinath. Interestingly, Muktinath is sacred pilgrimage site for both Buddhists and Hindus. You can witness 108 water sprouts around it and a gorgeous natural spring and an eternal flame fueled by natural gas. We stay overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 11: Drive from Muktinath to Tatopani via Jomsom (2670m) – 12  Hours
Today we leave Muktinath and descend through the Kaligandaki Valley to Marpha. Marpha is considered a home to the legendary apple orchids is known as the Apple capital of Nepal. Apple Brandy is another local specialty that you may be lucky enough to taste on the way. We stay overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 12: Drive to Pokhara 8-10 hours

Day 13: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu
We drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara today. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you can utilize your time for the last minute shopping or you can explore around the city. We celebrate the Farewell Dinner together with the trekking team and spend overnight at the hotel.

Day 14: Final Departure
We are saying good bye to the Kathmandu as your journey in Nepal comes to an end today! We will transfer you to the airport for your returning flight.

 

Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour
Today, you will visit main places of Kathmandu valley. In the morning you visit Pashupatinath, Bauddhanath, and Swayambhunath. Pashupatinath is the oldest and holiest Hindu temple; Bauddhanath Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa are the oldest Buddhist Stupas. After launch you visit Kathmandu durbar square and Patan durbar square. In Kathmandu durbar square, you visit Kumari temple, the temple of Living goddess.
