Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek passes through the lush green forest with the red rhododendron which makes you reach for your cameras and where you will enjoy an intimate group atmosphere. Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is one of the best short and easy hikes all over Nepal. In trekking, we also enter the Annapurna conservation area which is very much rich in flora, fauna, and biodiversity, and found many rare wild animals.
For accommodation in the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek, you don’t need to take worries because on this trekking route. You will see many lodges, tea-house, and home-stays there where they provide healthy and hygienic food. This is only the trekking trail where you don’t have to worry about accommodation in Nepal. You will find comfortable and better quality tea houses with attached bathrooms. Just like other routes, you have to share a bathroom at a high altitude. But at low altitudes, you get an attached bathroom according to your budget. Each lodge has a central combined area with a large stove that provides heat.
The accommodation is basic compared to a city luxury hotel or resorts where the room is basic. Accommodation is relatively basic but it is perfect for those who are resting from hiking and trekking. In the lodge, you will get a hot shower. You will get all types of food menus at the lower altitude but you have to compromise at the higher altitude. Tea houses at the high altitude only provide you with typical Nepalese food which is also good for your health.
The trail is beautiful and the trekking is easier in the months when there is no rain or snow. The weather is clearer and the temperature is moderate with a bit chilly leaving the day perfectly clear for a mesmerizing view of the mountain. Local Transportation
There are many modes of transportation available which help you to take from one place to another. While starting this trekking, you can choose whether you will take by a bust or you want to take a flight all the choice is yours. If you will take a flight then you will reach within the 30minutes in Pokhara from Kathmandu. But if you take a bus or you drive by road then it takes 6 hours to reach Pokhara where you will see the wonderful land of Nepal with beautiful forests, small cities, and many more things. From Pokhara take a 1-hour drive towards Nayapul then after walking trekking start. Or you can say Nayapul is the starting point of trekking in the Annapurna region.
Packing for trekking
It is a short trek where there are a number of equipment and essentials that you should pack while keeping in the mind. All the essential trekking gear that is recommended for trekking in Nepal and the basic idea is to keep you warm and one porter would be available for two people while on the trek. Arrival Day 01:
Welcome you by Nepal Base Camp Treks at Airport with holy mantra scarf (Om,Ma,Ni,Ped, Me,and Hoon Meant prevails the peace in all six deferent life) and transferred to your selection hotels. Short briefing about Trip and rest as per our itinerary
Drive To Pokhara Day 02:
From Kathmandu Hotel drive to Pokhara City,approximately 6-8 hrs overnights at Pokhara Hotel
After breakfast Day 03:
Drive to Nayapul (2 hour to start point of Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek (42km).Nayapul is our trek starting point and from here we continue our country side walking journey via Annapurna Conservation check post at Birthanti in 35 minutes.from Birethanti we follow unpaved roads to overnight at Hille (3 Hours either 4 hours with lunch break on the way)
After breakfast Day 04:
in the morning we hike towards Ghorepani Deorali overnight adventure guest house.The trail steep climbing from river side to Ulleri takes approximately 2 hours and from here the routes goes more gradually under shadow of forest.we will stop at Nangethani for lunch break and final 2 hours from here to get Ghorepani (approximately 5-7 hours walk).
Poon Hill Sunrise Day 05:
Early in morning start our sunrise views to poon hill with hot tea either coffee (40-50minuteand back to breakfast at lodge (2 hours together).Get our bag pack ready and continue trek to Tadapani View Point (5-6 hours with light lunch at Banthanti Lodge).Trail from Ghorepani to Tadapani are thick rhododendrons forest. Be careful and highly recommend walk with group fro you.
Final Walking Day 06:
Our team will be ready around 8 am for rapidly down to Ghandruk Bensi (3 hours and drive to Pokhara by public Sharing bus either private car (2 hours overnight Pokhara Lake Side Hotels.
Drive back to Kathmandu Day 07:
Today in the morning after breakfast drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus either take short afternoon fly back to Kathmandu optional .If you plan to fly back again will be good idea to explore Pokhara mountaineering museum after breakfast .if drive back to Kathmandu takes approximately 6-8 hours with breakfast and lunch break on the way in 2 hours different time.
Mountain flight Day 08:
Early morning catch Everest Himalayas mountain flights and departure from Nepal optional. We will arrange all transportation for mountain flight and drop you international airport for homeward

Sappa é o cara. Visitei o Nepal em duas ocasiões. Na primeira ele foi meu guia no circuito Annapurna, onde caminhamos por 21 dias. Na segunda ele nos guiou nos treks Langtang, Gosainkunda e Helambu por 17 dias. Alem disso, ele foi nosso guia no trek Cheppang Hills. Como se não bastasse, fizemos também o clássico Base Camp Everest partindo de Jiri e passando por Renjo La e Cho La, em 24 dias com o seu irmão Lako. O Nepal é um pais maravilhoso e a companhia de um guia como Sappa fez toda a diferença, pois ele nos explicou muito sobre a cultura local, religião, situação política/conflitos no pais e como funciona a sociedade no Nepal em geral. Ele fala muito bem inglês, é muito bem humorado e as risadas estão garantidas. Pra resumir, você começa a trilha com um guia e termina com um amigo. Recomendo-o sem hesitar. I first met Sappa in 2008 on a family Gokyo Lakes Trek and EBC Trek. At that time, I was greatly impressed by the highly professional approach he took to mountain guiding. I’m very happy to report that in 2014 and 2017 nothing has changed during my Langtang Valley second family trek and Manaslu Circuit Trek. Sappa continues to maintain an exceptionally high standard of service and this together with his warm, generous and engaging personality ensured everyone in our party had an amazing time during their visit to Nepal.
We were treated to fantastic traditional Nepalese food and cultural performances at welcoming and farewell dinners in Kathmandu; expertly and safely guided over 14 days of trekking through an incredibly beautiful landscape; and provided with detailed and knowledgeable commentary during our tours of all the main sites around Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan. I’m very happy to report that the organisation of our transport, sightseeing, accommodation and trekking arrangements was first rate and that over three weeks everything ran very smoothly indeed. Overall, Sappa‘s vast guiding experience and mountain knowledge ensured that our itinerary was structured in such a way that it provided us with a good deal of flexibility and ample time to absorb the magnificent mountain views while trekking, as well as not being rushed on our tours of Kathmandu and surrounds.

We were also very impressed to observe that Sappa and his company take very good care of their support crews.
