Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu-Nepal and transfer to hotel.

On arrival in Kathmandu capital city and hub of Nepal received by our guide and staff and then transfer to your hotel in the heart of Kathmandu, with time for group briefing and information regarding your trip in Nepal where evening includes welcome dinner in a nice authentic Nepalese restaurant with folk programs to entertain you during dinner.

Day 02: Fly to Lukla 2,820 m and then to Kongde View Hotel 4,860 m – 03 hrs.

Early morning transfer to domestic airport and then board on a chopper with spacious seating and rooms to accommodate 3 to 4 people, where short panoramic flight brings you at Lukla the gateway Sherpa town to various adventures around high Khumbu within Everest region.

On arrival at Lukla for a refreshing break and then continue flight on a Heli to land at a remote and isolated spot at Kongde View Hotel and a resort.

Kongde View Hotel and a Resort located at the base of Kongde peak which is above 6,011 m high adjoined by Kondge Ri with fabulous views of Mt. Everest towards north direction includes scenery of high hills with Namche Bazaar across the Bhote Kosi River.

Day 03: Heli flight to Everest Base Camp 5,365 m and return to Lukla for overnight.

The morning after a hearty breakfast, our flight continues flying over hills and valley covered with tall rhododendron and pine trees as the flight heads into a gorge and then higher to land at Thyangboche Monastery for sometimes allowing time to visit its Buddhist Monastery of great interest with panorama of mountains with views of Everest and surrounding peaks.

From heading due north to land at Everest Base Camp if possible, due to movement of moraine and glaciers here enjoy the massive scenery of towering peaks of Nuptse-Pumori and other peaks with Khumbu Icefalls and glaciers.

After an exciting moment at the highest spot of the trip at 5,365 m then head back to Lukla for an overnight stop with time to witness local Sherpa traditional life and culture.

Day 04:  Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel with a free afternoon at leisure.

Morning transfer to small Lukla airport for scenic short flight back to Kathmandu after a great marvelous time on the high hills of Khumbu within the shadow of Everest, during flight facing panorama of snow-capped peaks till plane lands at Kathmandu.

On reaching Kathmandu airport then transfer to your respective hotels with a free afternoon at leisure to relax after a wonderful short Everest Trekking.

Day 05: Guided Tour at places of interest around world heritage sites in Kathmandu.

Morning tour in the heart of Kathmandu with famous old Durbar Square with many monuments around Kathmandu Durbar Square, the house of the Living Goddess (Kumari Ghar), the ferocious Kal Bhairab, the red monkey god, and hundreds of erotic carvings are a few examples of the sights at the Square! The buildings here are the greatest achievements of the Malla dynasty.

Visit Kasthamandap a unique type of wooden temple also known as Maru Satal, built in 1596 A.D. by King Laxmi Narsingh Malla. The name Kathmandu derived from a temple built with the wood of a single tree.

After a time in Durbar Square, a short drive to Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) of 25 centuries old, stands as one of the world’s oldest Buddhist Chaitiya or Stupa.

The Great Stupa of Swayambhunath is the wonder that was Nepal, the glory that was Nepal. It is listed a World Heritage for Site with all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha, keeping an eternal watch on the Valley distinguishing between vice and virtue.

Afternoon visit Bouddhanath Stupa, the largest Buddhist shrine of South Asia, this ancient colossal chorten was built in the 6th century A.D. by King Man Deb. It rests on a series of three terraces and from the bird’s eye view it takes the relevant shape or of a lotus flower which indeed remains a very holy object for all the devout Buddhists of the world.

From here a short drive leads to Pashupatinath a holy Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva placed on the bank of Bagmati River, although non-Hindu are not allowed inside the main premise, however, one can watch the devotes and pilgrims on religious prayer from the other side of the river.

Finally, our day tour concludes with a drive back to your hotel with rest of the afternoon free at leisure.

Day 06: International departure for homeward bound.

In October 2014, 2015 I completed another wonderful family trek in Nepal to Langtang and Gosainkund lakes thanks to Sappa and his company “Nepal Base Camp Treks”. I first met Sappa in 2008 on a family Gokyo Lakes Trek and EBC Trek. At that time, I was greatly impressed by the highly professional approach he took to mountain guiding. I’m very happy to report that in 2014 nothing has changed. Sappa continues to maintain an exceptionally high standard of service and this together with his warm, generous and engaging personality ensured everyone in our party had an amazing time during their visit to Nepal.

We were treated to fantastic traditional Nepalese food and cultural performances at welcoming and farewell dinners in Kathmandu; expertly and safely guided over 14 days of trekking through an incredibly beautiful landscape; and provided with detailed and knowledgeable commentary during our tours of all the main sites around Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan. I’m very happy to report that the organisation of our transport, sightseeing, accommodation and trekking arrangements was first rate and that over three weeks everything ran very smoothly indeed. Overall, Sappa‘s vast guiding experience and mountain knowledge ensured that our itinerary was structured in such a way that it provided us with a good deal of flexibility and ample time to absorb the magnificent mountain views while trekking, as well as not being rushed on our tours of Kathmandu and surrounds.

On this trip, a few in our party were first time trekkers. What a fantastic introduction to trekking in the Nepal Himalaya they received thanks to the great care and attention to every little detail provided by Sappa and his fabulous support crew Manoj, Shankar and Suraj. Thank you Sappa,for also keeping up the tradition of supplying us with bananas and chocolate bars. I must also mention that the pomegranate seeds the crew provided to us on our way to Langtang was an unexpected but greatly appreciated treat. Importantly, from a safety aspect, we were more than pleased to find that Nepal Base Camp Treks used modern four wheel drive vehicles to take us to the start of our trek in Syabrubesi and also for the return journey from Dhunche. We were also very impressed to observe that Sappa and his company take very good care of their support crews.

German Language: Wir haben mit Sappa und einem Träger im Mai 2011 eine elftägige Trekking Tour durch die Langtang und Helambu Region gemacht. Wir sind das Langtang Tal von Syrabrubesi bis Kanjin Gompa hoch gewandert und dann über die Gosainkunde Seen, den Laurebina Pass und die Helambu Region nach Kathmandu zurückgekehrt. Der Trek war einfach wundervoll! Er führt durch verschiedene Vegetationszonen mit reicher Flora und Fauna und überwältigenden Aussichten auf die Gipfel des Himalaya. Darüber hinaus bot der Trek einen tiefen Einblick die die Tamang Kultur und das Leben und die Tradition der nepalesischen und tibetanischen Bevölkerung.

Sappa ist ein sehr erfahrener Führer, der die Gegend sehr gut kennt. Er verstand es perfekt, die Länge der täglichen Etappen und die Trekkinggeschwindigkeit auf unsere Wünsche und Bedürfnisse anzupassen und war insbesondere ein guter Ratgeber bei Fragen zur Höhenkrankheit. Sappa hat sich um alle Angelegenheiten mit den Lodges, den örtlichen Behörden, den Taxi- und Busfahrern etc. gekümmert. Sappa é o cara. Visitei o Nepal em duas ocasiões. Na primeira ele foi meu guia no circuito Annapurna, onde caminhamos por 21 dias. Na segunda ele nos guiou nos treks Langtang, Gosainkunda e Helambu por 17 dias. Alem disso, ele foi nosso guia no trek Cheppang Hills. Como se não bastasse, fizemos também o clássico Base Camp Everest partindo de Jiri e passando por Renjo La e Cho La, em 24 dias com o seu irmão Lako. O Nepal é um pais maravilhoso e a companhia de um guia como Sappa fez toda a diferença, pois ele nos explicou muito sobre a cultura local, religião, situação política/conflitos no pais e como funciona a sociedade no Nepal em geral. Ele fala muito bem inglês, é muito bem humorado e as risadas estão garantidas. Pra resumir, você começa a trilha com um guia e termina com um amigo. Recomendo-o sem hesitar.
